Day centre run by the disabled, for the disabled in North Kent.

Danny and Ann O’Brien have been running the North Kent Disabled Foundation for the past 10 years. The foundation is a charitable organisation and comprises of a day centre currently based at The Pavilion in Dartford and has been set up to give people who suffer from disabilities a place to go and enjoy spending time whilst enjoying a range of activities with other disability sufferers. The centre is run for the disabled by the disabled and serves its local catchment areas of Gravesend, Dartford, Swanley, Bromley, Cobham and Longfield.

The centre employs around 5 staff members and also regularly takes on voluntary help. The centre consists of a varied age group starting from as young 18 years with the oldest member currently aged 90 years of age. Members can enjoy various activities such as jewellery making and silver work, computing, painting and drawing, flower arranging, card making, beadwork, knitting and crochet, table and board games as well woodworking using the in-house CNC machine.
